You need to reinstall Windows 10 on a PC you’ve already successfully activated Windows 10.

You have a license to install Windows 10 and are upgrading this PC from Windows 7 or Windows.

Once you log back in, you should be on a newer version of Windows 10. It’ll restart and finish the installation. At a certain point, it’ll prompt you to restart the computer.

Windows Update should automatically detect that you need a Windows Feature Update, and will start the installation automatically.

If prompted, click ‘Check for Updates.’ Depending on how up to date your computer is, this may happen automatically.

Click your search bar in the bottom left corner of your computer, and search for “Windows Update.” You should get a search result that says “Check for Updates”.

Your computer will restart once or twice during this process, but after a few restarts, your computer should be on a newer version of Windows.
